HTC announced the new One X+, an updated version of the One X smartphone packing faster processor, bigger battery and latest operating system. Powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 AP37 processor with 1GB RAM, the One X+ is up to 67% faster than the original One X. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 4+ user experience. The phone comes with 64GB of internal storage.
The One X+ sports the same 4.7-inch Super LCD 2 720p HD touchscreen with Gorilla Glass 2 and 8 Megapixel with auto focus, BSI sensor, LED flash, f2.0 28mm lens and Full HD video recording, and a 1.6 Megapixel front camera with 720p video recording . The dedicated HTC ImageChip helps deliver enhanced image quality, and the newly added Self Portrait mode on the front camera can intuitively detect the human face at various angles and applying subtle enhancements to skin and eyes, while Sightseeing mode makes sure the camera is always ready for next great shot. There are also VideoPic that takes still images while HD video shooting, Smart Flash, Smart Scene, One-press continuous shooting, Video stabilization and slow motion video capture and playback.
The handset ncludes Beats Audio for studio-quality sound. New Tap and Go that allows users to pair the phone with Beats speakers with a simple tap. The One X+ supports Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n as well as NFC and DLNA for wireless streaming. It comes with a 2100mAh battery that offers about up to 50% (6 hours) more talk time. Also included is the HTC Get Started web service that guides users through the set-up and personalization process from a desktop web browser.
HTC will release the One X+ in Europe and North Asia in October and in South Asia in November.
